Funds raised go toward affordable housing organizations that the rider chooses.Rides vary in length but expect averaging 70 miles per day over the entire 5 days.
Bike.Build.Home 500 was organized to continue the fine traditions of the Habitat 500 bike ride, which was previously coordinated by Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota. In its 30-year history, bike riders raised over $7 million to build affordable homes. The Bike.Build.Home 500 committee includes past Habitat 500 riders, volunteers, and committee members. Bike.Build.Home hopes to mobilize the nearly-all-volunteer spirit of the original Habitat 500, updating it with what we learned from Habitat Minnesota.
