RESCHEDULED Join The Streets.mn Meet-and-Greet Bonfire now on March 9th
This year brings us eight new board members, and we are hosting a meet-and-greet bonfire where you (yes, you!) can mingle and chat with current and past members of the board of directors, our incredible editorial folks and the podcast crew, and other readers. Our bonfire on Sunday, March 9, will be at Como Park in St. Paul for an afternoon of light snacks, community building and a gently rolling bonfire. We’ll be enjoying the Como Park fire pits, near the corner of Hamline Avenue North and Como Avenue from 3:30 to 5 p.m.We encourage attendees to bring a snack or canned beverages to share with others. If you’ve been considering volunteering with one of our committees, this is a perfect opportunity to learn how to get involved.  Streets.mn file photo Getting There Metro Transit: Route 3A: Runs every hour between downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul. The 3A is the most convenient; the 3B is over a half-mile away at its closest point. The closest stop is Como Avenue and Como Park Pool, just east of Hamline Avenue. Route 83: Runs every 30 minutes along/near Lexington Avenue in St. Paul and Roseville. This connects to the Green Line at the Lexington Avenue station, and with many bus routes at Rosedale. The last bus southbound is just after 6:30 p.m.; the last bus northbound leaves Lexington/University at 7 p.m. and Como Park shortly thereafter. Alternatively, the A Line‘s closest stop is Como and Snelling (an easy bike ride and about a 15-minute walk) and runs every 15 minutes.Join the Fun!
