2023 – FatBikeFest 14
FatBikeFest is back again, for the 14th fun-filled crucible of winter riding!!!
Mark your calendar for Saturday, February 11th of 2023. The return of FatBikeFest this year makes this the 14th since 2007 when we had the first one.
Details will continue to evolve as we dial everything in, so be sure to click interested/going on the event, and follow the Montiview page to make sure you’re in the loop. (Invite your friends!)
This event will be a race, with four classes and two mass start times. There will be Men’s and Women’s classes in Recreational and Advanced levels.
If you remember the shenanigans we brought to the scene in years past, then you have an idea for what will be taking place at Montiview again this time. You will leave with more stories than you can remember to tell your friends about that didn’t show up. It’ll be old-school, and grass roots. Keeping the FUN in events. Like the good ol’ days…
As always, this will be a low cost event, with all proceeds staying at Montiview, and managed by the City of Monticello. And of course extra donations are always welcome! The funds will be used to support this and future events at Montiview, as well as for trailwork needs. We’ve got big plans for the continued development of the Park, and that’s not cheap.
As a BONUS, there will be a couple dozen limited edition FatBikeFest collector’s beanies being given away! There’s a long history with these hats now, so to get one is a big deal. It’s a new design every time. If you’ve been to any winter event in the last 10+ years, you’ve likely seen someone proudly sporting their treasured hat. Hats will be assigned by order of online registration, and given to you at the event.
Trailhead Cycling will be our big sponsor again! They will be onsite with all sorts of helpful items and swag.
Wolf Tooth is also providing a bunch of great stuff to give away!
Registration will be online this year, through the City of Monticello’s website. Here is the link, you need to select the “Community Events” tab.
