I am Litzy Silva Sandoval and BikeMN’s new fundraising intern. I worked on a project with BikeMN in an operations management college course. I am excited to continue working with BikeMN through an internship. I want to work with BikeMN because of its emphasis on advocacy and education. I am looking forward to working with the team and attending events.
I want to learn more about bike safety and how to navigate bike routes. I would ride my bike for fun around the block in the past. However, I am open to expanding my bike riding abilities and knowledge.
Currently, I am a third-year college student double majoring in business administration and marketing with a minor in economics. Last summer, I worked on two social media marketing projects during my internship with a financial services company. In my most recent school year, I also worked with two nonprofits, Global Rights for Women and BikeMN, for class projects. The Global Rights for Women project focused on social media marketing strategies, and the BikeMN project focused on fundraising analysis. I am also a board member and executive committee member for the Flaherty Family Foundation; I help organize informational events for high school and college scholars. I want to give students information that I would have wanted in the past. The foundation grants scholarships to high school students based on merit and financial need who will be attending private Catholic high schools. As a board member and former high school Flaherty scholar, I provide a student perspective of the foundation to help the team improve the scholar experience. Ultimately, I look forward to learning more about nonprofit operations and professional skills through my internship.
I live in Richfield and enjoy going on walks, going to the farmer’s market, and listening to music. My favorite activity is going on walks while listening to new music albums. I am excited to discover new places and events with BikeMN.
